Here some pics of the behind the scenes and also freeze frames from my actual camera.
Got hit by a rock in the head, by a bayonet in the ribs, with a rifle's butt in the hips and felt the blow of a firing rifle near my left leg...and all while shooting hand-held the battle scenes in-between the hundreds of soldiers.
Difficult by definitely and exciting day!! :)
The parts filmed were when the 3ro de Linea took over the Peruvian Ciudadela fort, the charges of Francisco Cornejo with the Cazadores de Pierola and the bravery of Justo Arias y Araguez with his Granaderos de Tacna. The gunfire and fights were awesome.
The energy flowing on the extras and the real soldiers was overwhelming. I could feel the excitement in them while doing this. One thing also was that no matter how much emphasis I put on safety, the soldiers got loose and careless and fired at will. Thank God they didn't harm anybody for real. Just bruises and cuts here and there.

Buenos días, la imagenes son perfectas!!!, es la toma del fuerte ciudadela!! la primera parte de la toma del morro, je aun no veo a bolognesi, una comentario que veo no se si erro yo como avido interesado en la guerra del pacifico, los soldados peruanos segun los cuadros y cronicas de la epoca no todos usaban cartucheras de cuero para guardar la municion, usaban las llicllas o mantas en las que nuestras paisanas cargan a sus nenes y que se estan poniendo de moda nuevamente, en la llicllas guardaban municion y comida, de paso las usaban como abrigo en las noches, pues que nuestro ejecito peruano en aquella guerra era muy informal, otra cosilla, no he visto estandarte de batallon chileno solo su bandera, bueno son detalles de historia, pero suerte con la filmación a ponerle full ganas y corazón, ya saben. no hay que rendirse y viva el Perú! saludos.
Gracias por tus comentarios Ramon. Es bueno ver que mucha gente denota interés en el tema y no estoy solo con mi gente en esto. Hay mucha expectativa y entusiasmo por la cantidad de correos y saludos que mandan. Que sirva pues esto como un grano grande de arena para relievar al Perú. Que viva nuestra patria!
